Iran promised a heavy response after Israel first attacked
Iran has launched ballistic missiles into Israel with Tel Aviv receiving heavy fire.
Tensions have escalated between Israel and Iran as both nations erupt into full-on war following Israel’s pre-emptive attacks on Iran early this morning.
It comes after Israel launched an attack on Iran’s nuclear programme in the early hours of Friday (13 June) with Iran stating they would respond in a equivalent manner which they have done.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced this morning that Israel had carried out a pre-emptive strike on Iran, and has also declared a state of emergency in Israel.
The BBC reported that an Israeli military official has said that there have been multiple strikes and that they are “against Iran’s nuclear programme and other military targets”.

The BBC reported that Iran had confirmed the use of ballistic missiles in the most recent attack on Israel.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says it carried out attacks against “dozens of targets, military centres and airbases”.
Most of the attack has happened now and following instructions for residents to stay in shelters, the Israeli government has said that residents can leave shelters but stay near to them.
Latest footage from Tel Aviv shows multiple damaged building while reports from the BBC say at least five people have been injured.
A spokesman for the Israeli military has just issued a statement, saying that “after assessing the situation, the Home Front Command issued instructions that it is possible to leave the protected area and to continue to remain near it in all regions of the country
