For more than ten years, we’ve welcomed numerous foster cats into our home and hearts, featuring many delightful black kittens. However, when we came upon a small, blind, three-legged kitten called Sticky on Instagram, something about this little panther pulled at our emotions. We contacted his foster mother, Abigail, and she kindly shared Sticky’s remarkable story — a tale rich with perseverance, affection, and new opportunities. Abigail began fostering Sticky on June 16, 2022, at the age of only four weeks. Though he was tiny, he had already faced incredible suffering: a broken bone, scabies, infections, and blindness likely resulting from an unhealed eye infection. His recovery journey would eventually involve surgery to remove a damaged leg and ongoing struggles with seizures

However, Sticky is not just any cat — he’s a fighter with a love for life and a playful nature that radiates in every obstacle. Abigail’s unwavering dedication has helped Sticky flourish and be prepared to discover his permanent home. She mentioned that even with his disabilities, Sticky enjoys a vibrant and happy life — frequently dedicating his time to pursuing Nerf darts, relishing cat treats, and crafting charming “paintings” with assistance from his beloved Churu snacks. Abigail pointed out that Sticky doesn’t require pity — he needs someone who will recognize him for who he is: a charming, affectionate, and lively kitten who simply happens to be a bit unique. Although his seizures have complicated adoption, Abigail stays optimistic that the right individual will recognize Sticky’s lively character rather than focusing solely on his special needs

Sticky’s perfect adopter is an individual who recognizes the special care a cat like him might need — someone familiar with managing medical issues or just open to learning and dedicating time. He would flourish in a serene setting, preferably with one or two other pets at most, where he can get the affection and care he deserves. Sticky has impacted many lives, particularly Abigail’s, who attributes her enhanced passion for fostering special needs animals to him. For those thinking about adopting a cat such as Sticky, Abigail kindly reminds us: these creatures aren’t limited by their disabilities — they’re characterized by their bravery, unique traits, and limitless ability to love. Sticky is fully prepared to start his next chapter — and we eagerly anticipate where his journey takes him
