Against all odds, a tiny kitten named Myrtle has captured hearts with her incredible will to live. Born on February 11th to a rescued cat in Quebec, Myrtle was the smallest of her litter and immediately struggled to thrive. Pushed aside by her siblings and unable to latch properly, she required round-the-clock care from Meggie, the vice president of One Cat at a Time rescue. Syringe feedings and sleepless nights became the norm as they fought to keep Myrtle alive. Despite her fragile state and limited mobility in her back legs, Myrtle’s spirit never wavered—she was determined to stay in the world.

Today, Myrtle is a vibrant nine-month-old kitten—still petite, but filled with energy and affection. She’s found her forever home with the same foster family who fought so hard for her survival. Off her medication and free from the heart condition that once threatened her life, Myrtle is a living testament to resilience. Her journey from a frail newborn to a playful shoulder cat is a heartwarming reminder that even the smallest fighters can overcome the biggest battles. Truly, she is a miracle on four paws.
