At just three days old, a tiny calico kitten named Anna was rescued alongside her two siblings from a shelter that lacked the resources to care for such fragile newborns. Filthy, flea-infested, and desperately in need of warmth and nourishment, the kittens were taken in by Caroline Grace of Baby Kitten Rescue in Los Angeles. Though Anna was the runt of the litter, she quickly made it clear that she had the loudest voice and the boldest spirit. From the moment she felt the warmth of her incubator open, she would meow with all her might—demanding attention, food, and, of course, cuddles.

Despite being the last to open her eyes, Anna was the first to explore and the most determined to keep up with her siblings. Her fiery personality showed at every mealtime, when she’d scream until her bottle was ready, latch on like a pro, and then immediately flip onto her back to purr and soak up affection. With every passing day, she became more playful and affectionate, always eager to wrestle her siblings or curl up in a lap. Her foster mom affectionately called her the “biscuit making queen,” thanks to her constant kneading and soothing purrs that filled the room.

After several weeks of care and cuddles, Anna—now renamed Alluka—was ready to embark on her next adventure. Her forever family had fallen in love with her from the moment they saw her, and once she arrived in her new home, she made herself comfortable right away. With two kitty brothers, a cozy catio, and shelves to climb, Alluka now spends her days playing, exploring, and snuggling. On her very first night, she curled up in bed with her new humans and purred herself to sleep—exactly where she was always meant to be.
