Meet Orbit, an exceptional cat with a unique story. Despite being born without fully developed eyes, this hasn’t stopped him from living life to the fullest.

Orbit is known for his energetic vibe, affectionately termed “orange cat energy,” as he enjoys life’s simple joys just like any other cat. Ashley, his devoted owner, felt an instant connection with Orbit.

Alongside Orbit, she shares her home with Axil Bean, a rescue dog. These two animals showcase the heartfelt saying, “who rescued who.”

Orbit’s journey is a testament to his bravery. Shortly after Ashley brought him home, he faced a serious health scare. “Even with a dangerous 106-degree fever, he was purring as we rushed to the emergency vet,” Ashley recalled.

Initial treatment brought some relief, but Orbit soon encountered additional challenges. He developed three significant respiratory infections due to the undeveloped eye tissue.

Under the vet’s guidance, surgery was recommended to remove this tissue. Post-surgery, Orbit’s health saw a significant positive turn. As Ashley expressed, “He embodies courage and has an insatiable love for life.”

With his sharp senses and zestful spirit, Orbit is an enthusiastic explorer. He loves going on outdoor outings with his family.

In Ashley’s words, he playfully asserts, “Though I’ve never seen the world, I’ve mastered feeling and tasting my surroundings. I’m genuinely happy and full of adventure.”

Ashley takes great joy in witnessing Orbit’s enthusiasm for life. “Being his safe haven brings me unmatched fulfillment,” she shared.

Remarkably, Orbit has even won over those who weren’t fond of cats. As Ashley mentioned, “Friends and family who initially didn’t like cats changed their minds after meeting Orbit.”

Orbit plays a special role beyond just warming hearts; he’s been essential to Ashley’s well-being. “During a tough time with my mental health, knowing he relied on me gave me strength.

He’s truly special, and I feel incredibly blessed to have him,” Ashley confided.

In addition to his spirited nature, Orbit embraces fashion with the help of Ashley, who delights in dressing him in cute outfits, often from newborn clothing lines.

Ashley, who cherishes both her rescue pets deeply, concludes with heartfelt advice, “I found my ‘soul cat’ by adopting a pet with special needs. I urge others to consider offering a new home to animals requiring extra care.”
